Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the Clearfield Cemetary.

This cache is in honor of my grandfather George Theodore Sarris, born  2 April 1892 Leonidion, Arkadía, Greece. At the age of sixteen my grandfather and his cousin immigrated to the United States. They landed at Ellis Island and worked in a restuarant there for about a year. They then rode the boxcars to Chicago to work at the Lucky Strike Cigarette factory. They then moved to Delta Utah where they worked as farm hands. Grandfather gained his US Citizenship and served in World War I. He owned property in Clearfield which he farmed, while also working at Hill Field Air Force Base. I have fond memories of the many varied types of Greek food that we ate there, especially Leg of Lamb. Thanks grandpa.

CONGRATULATIONS to ETrunner for the FTF.
