Geocache Description:

Plus is a Latin term meaning more.

In Europe in the early 15th century the letter "P" was generally used.The symbol P with line p̄ for più was first first printed and published in Venice in 1494.  The + plus used in mathematical equations is a binary operator to indicate addition.  It can also be used as a qualifier such A++ is higher than A.  Or it can also indicate the presence of something such as Rh Factor in blood i.e.  O+ blood.
