This cache is my first. It is a requirement for my Boy Scout Geocaching Merit Badge. I hope you like it.
The Cole Property is 242 acres of agricultural land purchased by the Town of Carver. The property has significant conservation value including wildlife habitat, an ancient Native American trail, and five acres of cranberry bogs. Several mapped trails traverse the property. To get to the cache you'll need to follow blue to white to orange.
Cache is about 100 feet off the trail.
From the Welcoming Kiosk:
"The Cole Property has been in the Cole family since a King's Grant of land in 1641 or 1642 to James Cole. The Cole family is the only known owner of record. The family used their land primarily for wood lots and the site was selectively harvested for timber until the middle of the twentieth century. Hunting and fishing by family and non-family appear to have been always allowed on the land."
