Number 6 in the “Hobbit” themed series of caches, (we must be nerds by now – right?). This series will challenge your Geocaching stamina. Remember the round trip is nearly 6.5 miles of paddling. We did say you would be in and out of your vessel several times. You have encountered some briars, poison ivy, stingy nettles, bugs and creepy crawly things, mud and muck, tree roots, and all the other hazards that go along with water caching. Dark places and beyond. Coordinates in creek banks can be tricky sometimes so please let us know if you encounter them to be way off. Most of the caches are in logical spots, depending on your definition of logical. Have fun, we had a great time creating this series. We paddle here at least once a season and you never know what you will encounter. There are owls where you least expect them, furry critters that swim, slide, stare at you in disbelief, bolt from you and startle you. Avian flyers of all types., and oh did we mention bugs? Sounds like the perfect Hobbit environment!
"GREAT GOBLIN" Is the leader of the goblins, slain in his cave when Gandalf uses the sword Foe-hammer. ( hiding place does resemble a great body of almost human character).

Enjoy.
