This is number three in our Hobit themed water trail. This series will challenge your Geocaching stamina. The round trip is nearly 6.5 miles of paddling. You will be in and out of your vessel several times. You will encounter briars, poison ivy, stingy nettles, bugs and creepy crawly things, mud and muck, tree roots, and all the other hazards that go along with water caching. Dark places and beyond. Coordinates in creek banks can be tricky sometimes so please let us know if you encounter them to be way off. Most of the caches are in logical spots, depending on your definition of logical. Have fun, we had a great time creating this series. We paddle here at least once a season and you never know what you will encounter. There are owls where you least expect them, furry critters that swim, slide, stare at you in disbelief, bolt from you and startle you. Avian flyers of all types., and oh did we mention bugs? Sounds like the perfect Hobbit environment!
"GOLLUM"
A strange, small, slimy creature who lives deep in the caves of Moria beneath the Misty Mountains. There, Gollum broods over his “precious,” a magic ring, until he accidentally loses it and Bilbo finds it. He loves to game in riddles-
"Voiceless it cries, Wingless flutters, toothless bites, Mouthless mutters"
One of Gollum's riddles for Bilbo. The answer is "wind".
