While out caching I found myself the going the wrong way, so I decided instead of turning back I'd continue walking along the river as I hadn't been down this part since I was a kid.
Stumbled upon some old ruins I thought would make a nice spot for a hide.
There were a few dog walkers letting their dogs play in the river so I sat down and had my Dr Pepper and chocolate while I waited for them to carry on, after scouting several possible hiding places I settled on somewhere I thought would make a great spot for a hide.
- First of all be careful climbing down the bank, they're a little steep, though there are a couple of banks leading to the area, so feel free to take which ever you find easiest.
- Secondly I apologise if the GPS coords are a little off, I've aimed at getting them on the path near the cache, but stuck with a phone it's not the most reliable under all the tree cover, hoping to get a handheld GPS shortly.
- Thirdly, bring a picnic and enjoy the view, it's shaded by lots of trees but it's a really peaceful spot.
