Geocache Description:

RYDER CUP 2014.

Gleneagles welcomes the Ryder Cup to Perthshire. This cache is in celebration of the 40th Ryder Cup in 2014. This is only the second time Gleneagles has hosted the tournament, the first being in 1973.

The Ryder Cup started in 1927 with a tournament between UK versus USA. It has now evolved to the current format of Europe versus USA. Currently the trophy is in the hands of the European team.

The cache overlooks the Queens Course in particular the fairways leading to the 6th hole.

There is nearby parking available.

Please ensure that the cache is replaced as found and take care not to tamper with the over lying cables.

There are two stane dykes here. You DO NOT have to remove any stones to access this cache.
