Geocache Description:


Yeeee-HAH!!!! Last week, the Gamers achieved our 2500th geocaching find!!

This cache is called "Thank You", and the title has a two-fold meaning.

First...I am dedicating this cache hide to every geocacher who hid a cache we've found since we began caching. At the end of this e-mail, I list every single one of you amazing people who share this hobby we've adopted. THANK YOU!!

Second...the Gamer Family has been known to create some pretty tricky cache hides. The hide might be particularly sneaky or, in many cases, to FIND the cache you have to work through some puzzle of varying deviousness. So, as a means of providing my fellow cachers with a reason for gratitude and as a helping hand, we will be periodically visiting this cache and planting hints on how to find, or solve, Gamer caches.

QUESTION & ANSWER TIME:

Question: How explicit will the hint be?
Answer: This will, of course, vary. But it will almost always be a strong nudge in the right direction.

Question: How will I know which cache you're hinting in?
Answer: Put any Gamer cache you need help with on your Watchlist. If we put a hint for that cache into "Thank You", we'll post a log on that cache page that says, appropriately enough, "THANK YOU!" In fact, there's already a hint in there for one of our mystery caches, and we're hoping that this one will "register high" on the thanks-o-meter....yayyyyyyyy!

Question: How often will you change the hint?
Answer: I don't know. My guess is once a month, plus or minus a week or two. But the pattern will emerge over time, I guess.

Question: Can I post the hint online once I've gotten it?
Answer: Aw, c'mon, now...that'll spoil the fun! If you're working on a puzzle with someone else, of course you can share it with that person. But, otherwise, keep it to yourself.

Question: Can we put in requests?
Answer: Yes...but only once per cacher, and only cachers who have logged a find for "Thank You!" can do so. No guarantees that we'll select your cache, but we'll certainly keep requests in mind!

Question: Do you know who ate the last slice of pie that I left on my counter last week?
Answer: I can't be sure, but if Gamer Son was near your house, I'd put my money on him. He looooooves his pie!

Question: What are the specifics about this cache?
Answer: Standard stuff. Cache is a small container, big enough to hold some small swag. It's hidden in a field. Bring your own pen, and pleeeease place it back where you found it and hide it with sufficient camo so that it's completely obscured from view.

Question: What advice would you give us?
Answer: Have fun and cache on!
