Geocache Description:

In an area best known for a salt lake and some beaches, here's a little walk in the cool shady forest.

This is a commercial forestry and is harvested in sections every year. The co-ordinates take you to a big eucalyptus tree that seems to be old enough to command respect and not get felled, so this is why I called it The Guardian. The guardian of the forest and the guardian of the cache.

Locally this is referred to as Fassouri 'Forest' but those of us used to Welsh or Bavarian types of forest might find that rather ambitious. The trees are mostly eucalyptus and pine, with some wild olive for those who are interested.

Mosquitoes the size of small aircraft abound here so a good layer of repellant is advisable if you are walking.
