Placed near the 'original' Birstall Station - the one you can see from the bridge being a late addition to the GCR following its move to preserved steam
stay a while and look over the bridge at weekends to see the powerful engines run on the line - which heads north to where I now live. Back in the day ( early 1990's ) i used to walk down this line and place pennies on the track to flatten by the trains....
