Yeah! It is Geocaching.com’s “31 Days Of Geocaching” celebration! They are encouraging us to get out and cache, enjoy the outdoors. What better way for me to celebrate than a walkabout in one of my favorite parks?! I could not make the Block Party up in Seattle today, so I decided to have a little party of my own. A crowd of geocaches instead of a crowd of geocachers.
This cache can be logged as a find on its own, of course, but it is also part of the GC4K62A: 31 Days Of Geocaching: Coe SP Block Party puzzle cache. Somewhere on the log is a clue with a two or three digit number. You might want to write that clue down and save it.
The 31 caches in this series are arranged to take you in roughly a big circle around the Kelly Lake, Coit Lake, and Hoover Lake area of Coe State Park. The 31 are setup to be pretty easy finds, so no major difficulty once you get to them. Getting to them will be a challenge. The full circuit from Hunting Hollow out and around is about 26 miles. I logged only 3400 feet of ascent on the placement hike. Not bad by Coe standards. This is one of the nicest areas in Coe, so get out those hiking boots and give them a work out.
