Although Pinewoods Park in Boca Raton is a small community park it is a nice spot to park and enjoy your lunch. The hours are sunrise to sunset. There are three lighted baseball fields (permit required) open until 10 p.m. There is a batting cage. Two picnic tables sit adjacent to a play structure (ages 2-5 years). Restrooms are available.
The PBC Parks & Rec page lists Pinewoods Park as having 18.3 acres (including 5.0 lake acres) but some areas are blocked off and some of that land is now occupied by the PBSO sub-station.
A ball almost hit me and the batter took a leisurely jog all the way home as I placed this cache. Good thing he couldn't see my face! 225 feet! Not bad for the kid.
