The Kansas state seal is cache 26 of 30 along stateline road honoring state symbols of Kansas and Nebraksa.
The state seal was adopted in 1861. John J Ingless submitted the proposal for the seal, he also came up with the Kansas state Motto. The Great Seal of the State of Kansas was established by joint resolution and adopted by the Kansas legislature May 25, 1861. The eastern side is depicted by the landscape with a rising sun, commerce is depicted by a steamboat along the river, agriculture depicted by a settlers cabin and man plowing his field, American expansion depicted by a wagon trail heading west, and a herd of buffalo being pursed by two indians on horseback. The state motto graces the top, and below are 34 stars depicting Kansas as the 34th state of the union. Check out the picture section for a view of the seal.
