Geocache Description:

This cache is a 500ml Snap and Lock container, with logbook, pen, pencils and a variety of swaps and stickers.

The Waddy Creek starts near Mellool ( NSW.) at an elevation of 78.8m and ends at an elevation of 69.1m, merging with the Merran Creek, which flows into the Wakool River.

The Waddy Creek drops around 9.73m over its 16km length.

The Noorong Road crosses the Waddy Creek just before Mellool, about 16 kms from Swan Hill.

The original bridge, over the Waddy Creek, was built in the early 1900's and was made of wood...but that tumbled down in the early 1980's and was replaced by the current one in 1982, hence the name, "The Tumble Down Waddy Bridge."

During the 2011 floods, the Waddy Creek which is usually just flowing was several kms wide and covered Noorong Road.

A wide variety of fish are caught and birdlife are seen in this quiet and peaceful location.
