Welcome to the Valley Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

LangGang4: We went to check on it and it is gone. Assuming it has fallen into a hole and covered after some maintenance was done around the area. :(

Geocache Description:

The cache is a small M&M container covered with duct tape (it’s a trailer staple!)

This cache has been placed around the entrance to Spring Valley Park, our summer home. We wanted to share this sweet spot with our fellow cachers. We have been seasonal campers here since 2003 and love that our kids are growing up having the kind of fun we had as kids.

We are unsure about the year the park originally opened, sometime between 1968 and 1970 but it was owned by the Greenwood family. The park was purchased in 1973 by Ron and Joy Cross who built it into a large prosperous year-round campground business. Ron Cross was well known in the Mount Forest area as the Owner and Operator of Spring Valley Park and an active member of the community. In 2002, Spring Valley was purchased by Parkbridge Lifestyle Communities. It’s a beautiful little gem tucked away just outside of Mount Forest. When we find out more information, I’ll be sure to add it to the description.

The manager of the park knows there is a cache here and because it is placed around the entrance, you are not trespassing. We would recommend caching around the area, there’s all kinds!
