Geocache Description:

Mierlo-Hout was een dorp in de voormalige Nederlandse gemeente Mierlo. Vanwege uitbreiding van Helmond is het in 1968, via een grenscorrectie, een stadsdeel van Helmond geworden onder de naam Helmond-'t Hout. Sinds 2006 is de naam Mierlo-Hout als stadsdeel weer terug, nadat de inwoners hiervoor ludieke acties op touw hadden gezet.

Station Helmond 't Hout is een station in de stad Helmond aan de lijn Eindhoven - Venlo. Het station werd in 1992 als derde station van Helmond geopend voor inwoners van de Helmondse wijken 't Hout (Mierlo-Hout) en Stiphout. Inmiddels heeft Helmond een vierde station in de wijk Brandevoort.
Het station werd geopend in 1992 en is een voorbeeld van een voorstadshalte en is ontworpen door ir. C.M. Laboyrie..
