Crab Rock Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Fiona and Hamish: It is with great regret that I archive this cache. Unfortunately, I no longer visit the area and cannot continue to ask others to carry out the maintenance of the cache for me. I am glad that it has bought so many people joy and to this beautiful beach and I hope that they have appreciated it as much as I have. Happy caching!

Geocache Description:

Traditional cache hidden at the far end of the beautiful Marble Hill Strand.

The cache is accessible at all states of tide, although best avoided at high tide during rough seas.

To reach the cache you will need to access the beach via steps from the road and cross the stream to reach the far end of Marble Hill beach, known as Crab Rock. The stream is usually easily crossed by paddling.  The cache can be easily accessed from the beach. The cache is a small clip lock container with room for trackable and swaps. We have put a few swaps in to start it off!.
