Geocache Description:

When: 12:30pm, Oct. 5th, 2013
Where: Allerton Park, Sun Singer statue, Monticello, IL
Why: Because it's fun!

Please join us for a very short Flash Mob with Allerton Park's Sun Singer.

Meet at the posted coords at exactly 12:30pm and sign the log. We will take a group picture at 12:40 and hopefully disperse by 12:50pm. Look for a breakfast and evening event on the same day.


If you are seeking any of the existing caches on the grounds please stay on the trails. There are some very sensitive areas throughout Allerton Park.

If you've never been to Allerton there is a lot to see and explore. An excellent park named one of the 7 Wonders of Illinois. Beautiful Formal Gardens including a Chinese Maze Garden and the Sunken Garden where many weddings take place. Enjoy the Avenue of Chinese Musicians and over 100 sculptures including the famous Sun Singer. 7 different trails totaling 14 miles. You can also find 2 Pioneer Cemeteries on the grounds.
