This cache provides a humorous (albeit dark humor) guided tour through the exercise station section of the Bona Dea Trail System. Not for the timid, humorless, sensitive, or easily offended! After all, this IS a horror tour! But also a FUN horror tour!
To take this tour, you will first need to download the Wherigo cartridge Bona Dea: Trail of Horror onto your smartphone or Wherigo enabled GPSR.
The tour should take about an hour, maybe a little more, and you will walk about 1.5 miles on level terrain on a hard surface walking trail. I would almost call this one wheelchair-accessible, except for the last little part that must traveled to get to the cache container. There are usually lots of muggles (walkers, joggers, bikers) on the trail, but that shouldn't be a problem except for when you have to find the cache itself. Exercise stealth and caution so as to not arouse attention!
The tour will lead you to 12 different zones before taking you to the final zone where the cache is hidden. In each zone, you will be provided some information about that location and then asked to correctly answer a question before you are allowed to proceed. The questions are simple and the answers are readily available from information visible within or near each zone.
The cache itself is a bison tube. A hint will be provided to you once you enter the zone around the cache. You will also receive a code you can use to log this cartridge as “complete” on the Wherigo website.
I hope you enjoy this Wherigo tour! It has been tested on an iPhone before publishing and appears to work fine. However, sometimes while playing you may run into a glitch that says "Inside Zone" but doesn't give you an action or any information. If this happens, try going outside the zone and coming back in, or quitting and then resuming the cartridge. I've had this happen before on this and other Wherigo caches and both of these actions work to clear up the problem.
Note about unlock code: If the unlock code you are given at the end of your playing of this Wherigo cartridge has more than 15 digits, then discard anything after the 15th digit and enter only the first 15 digits as the unlock code. This appears to be the solution to the unlock code problem, as discussed in the Groundspeak Fourms section on Wherigo. Let me know if this still does not work.
