The usual Florida woods precautions: Water, water, and water, bring it. Bug spray, mostly because of chiggers. Take off your socks and spray your feet too. I don't recommend shorts because of thorns. Let someone know where you are.
Park on Snow Hill Road where the Florida Trail crosses. There are some changes being made to the trail so some of the blazes are missing. You can follow the fire break most the way to GZ of stage one. The last little bit is on the trail. St one starts the bushwhack. The beginning is like a tunnel. Hard to even spot if it wasn't for the cache. Once in the tunnel just head back to the clear area and turn left. There are no gnarly sections of palmettos. It's only a bushwhack because it's off trail. If you like bushwhacking it's slow but not difficult. If you don't bushwhack in your everyday life it could be difficult. The snake on the cache page is one I saw while I was out here. These are the kind of critters that keep bushwhacking interesting. I was here during the wet time of year and probably could have kept my feet dry but what's the fun of that. Final GZ is pretty wet but there was a great natural hiding spot there. Cache placed with permission. Dewch i gael hwyl ac nid ydynt yn cael ychydig. Overrover eisoes wedi cael Snake Alley felly yr wyf yn newid i welsch.
