We placed this cache in Pole Green Park, where we found our first geocache a few months ago! Many of the caches in this park are just off the marked trails and don't require a lot of bush-whacking. This cache is a little different! Parking is available near the softball fields, but from there, it's a bit of a hike just to get to the woods. Do not try to park in the field. We made an adventure out of this placement, and it took us over an hour and several potential hiding places for us to finally agree on an acceptable location. While the location itself is not a particularly difficult area to search, it does take a bit of hiking to find your way to the cache. If you take the long way and hit the Beaver cache first, it's a much easier (if longer) hike than if you head at it directly. Beware the multitudes of ticks and mosquitoes! This cache will likely be easier to find in the winter when all the ferns and other annoying foliage are gone, but it's still very possible to find even now. The cache is a sandwhich sized lock-and-lock container. Currently it contains a log book, a FTF token, and a few other trinkets! WE FORGOT A PEN! Neither of us have had time to make it back to the cache to place a pen, so for now, make sure you bring one along!! We will get that fixed ASAP. Best of luck and happy hunting!
