You'll pass through a "gap" or a "saddle" to get to this cache located near the Alice Springs shooting complex. If you are at the high point of the gap facing north, you'll catch an elevated glimpse of the Ilparpa clay pans, a favorite amongst locals to walk dogs, especially when the clay pans are full of water.
