From these heights we can contemplate the slopes of the south of El Hierro and the profile the island has adopted during its formation. From El Julan one can glimpse the straightening and the profiles of the numerous volcanic cones of this zone, not forgetting that we are on southern face of the greatest of them, that which forms the El Golfo Valley.
From this height, 850 metres, one can also observe the way the island´s vegetation is distributed, from the lower plains scarcely populated to the higher locations densely populated for their mountain forests of canarian pine and laurel.
