This small lock 'n lock cache is part of a group of caches placed in the Johnstown area to celebrate the Bicentennial of Johnstown, Ohio in 2013. Dr. Oliver Bigelow donated land and planned the village in 1813. Visit all of these caches to learn more of this town's history. Happy 200th Birthday Johnstown.
This building replaced a stockade that was used to house the drunk and disorderly in bygone years. It was built in 1888 for $539.00. It was moved to this location in 1901 from behind the park on Oregon Street. Park on the adjacent street - not in the nearby apartment lot. When you arrive at the location, use your geo-sense.
