Geocache Description:

This cache was hidden for the WGA Picnic

In 1934 the CCC built this 100' Aermotor tower for the State of Wisconsin at Pembine.



It served until the 1980s. Declared surplus, the State sold the tower to Dale Paust in 1990.It was moved Paust Lake resort where it stands now.  The state purchased Paust Lake Resort in 2000 for what is now Gov. Thomspson SP. 

If you want to visit where the tower originally stood, look up GC2ZDZ3 Pembine Fire Tower. The tower is on the National Register of Historic Places.
