Back in 2010 B1+B2 and The Klingons decided on a joint expedition to the Northern Territory and Queensland

Now in 2013 we're off and on a very eventful day 5 we had stopped for lunch in an easy to stop shaded spot.
While having lunch and doing some minor trailer repairs it seemed the ideal time to place a cache in memory of this trip.
It was to be the last peaceful part of the day as down the road (unbeknownst to us; and goodness knows how we missed it); we blew a trailer tyre.
By the time the trouble was discovered the centre disc of the rim was wrapped around the stub axle, and there was no evidence of ever having had a tyre!!!
Our sad and sorry tale goes to show that no matter how carefully you prepare and risk manage, the unexpected can always happen.
Luckily for us we were in an area that does have regular traffic, although not very much, and our 'bacon' was saved by a couple of off duty Telstra workers. This could have been a much bigger problem if we'd been in an even more remote area. Thanks to Go Grandys who have agreed to maintain this cache.
