Geocache Description:

This cache was placed as part of the McHenry County Conservation District for the Cache Your Way Across McHenry County 2013 program.

Located in the Dufield Pond, McConnel Road Conservation Area.  Traditional clear plastic container.  This cache would be great for beginners or small kids.  While it is a short walk to the cache, I recommend doing the whole loop of this rather lovely new site!!! I had to do some clever disguising to the hiding spot so PLEASE return it as well as you found it or better!!!

The biggest threat to turtles are humans but turtles still have many other natural predators.  Fish, snakes, minks, birds and many other animals eat their eggs.  What animal is the biggest turtle predator in McHenry County?

Permission must be obtained from the Conservation District prior to placing a cache on District property.  Call 815-338-6223 or visit www.mccdistrict.org/web/re-geocache.htm for more information on geocaching or to obtain more information about the program.
