Bramley is on the Roman road from Silchester to Chichester and is known to have been inhabited from pre-Roman times.
St James’ Church dating originally from 1160 on Saxon foundations is a Grade I listed building. It features many historical alterations and additions dating up to the 20th Century. The famous physicist Lise Meitner is buried in the burial ground next to the church, near the grave of her brother Walter.
Paths are wheelchair friendly and depending on ability the cache should be accessible too. Let me know if you try and fail though so I can ammend info.
