WELCOME TO THE HEADLANDS and ROCKPORT HARBOR

The Headlands are a barren strip of weather beaten land facing the Atlantic to the northeast. It offers a beautiful view of Sandy Bay and Rockport Harbor. As you see, Rockport Harbor is home to commercial as well as recreational boats. The centerpiece of the Harbor of course is the big red building on Bradley Wharf. "MOTIF #1" which is said to be one of the worlds most photographed and painted buildings was originaly built in the 1840's. Unfortunately it was destroyed in the Blizzard of 1978 but was soon reconstructed to remain the towns most famous icon. Rockport Harbor has a long and deep history of fishing and ship building dating back to the 1600's. The cache is medium size and has some trading items and would be a good host for traveling items.
