How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Thomas Hutchins was a Royal British Airforce Service Man stationed in Pennfield N.B. He was executed in 1942 at the Charlotte County Gaol (Jail) for the murder of Bernice Connors. Although he was found guilty, the evidence agaist him was circumstantial. This geocache is to commemorate the new addition to the Gaol, the remains of his gallows.

This clear plastic cache is located directly next to the Charlotte County Archives. The grey granite stone from the Charlotte County Gaol is a reminder to everyone not to misbehave or they be punished by the long arm of the law. Feel free to walk in to the archives and get a tour of the scary Gaol and magnificant Courthouse.

Congrats to rpapaman for the FTF
