During a family spring break trip to northern Florida in late March of 2013, Team R.A.D. was formed. We were in Florida Caverns State Park and Mom, upon doing some research, stumbled upon something called geocaching. As she read about the caches in the park, Dad said "I heard about that before and was always curious. Let's try it out." We puched coordinates into our Garman Nuvi car GPS and set off through the park to earn our first smiley (which we knew nothing about at the time).
5 months, 380 plus finds, 6 FTFs, 1 Mega event, 5 regular events, 2 CITOs, and 9 hides later, Team R.A.D. is ready to knuckle down. The 9 caches that we have hidden so far have receved some nice coments about how nice it is to be able to find a cache without having to turn over every piece of mulch and stray branch in site. Many of our hides have "hidden" jokes involved with them and we like to think they make the people who find them smile.
We enjoy funny, creative, easier to find caches as well, but we also like to find the more challenging ones from time to time. For our 10th hide, we decided to knuckle down and go for a nasty hide. If you hate that kind of hide, please check out our other 9 hides, which are a lot less difficult with a bit of humor sprinkled in. We love seeing lots of "found it" logs on our caches. This time we hope to see a few more DNFs. As Team R.A.D. takes a turn trying to be a bit nasty and we knuckle down for our 10th hide.
You will be looking for a micro container with natural camo. Please BYOP and reseal and reset the container after signing the log so it stays dry and well hidden for the next cacher to find. Hope you enjoy searching for this one.
