“Battle Scars” series
This series of caches is to highlight just a small portion of the Battle River, as well as to encourage more rural caching in our area. Despite being a relatively small river in Alberta, the Battle River supports a number of communities and industries in East Central AB and provides numerous recreational opportunities including fishing, boating and swimming (if you don’t mind the less-than-ideal quality of the water). There are a number of existing geocaches both upstream and downstream of these locations, only some of which we have found so far.
All hides within this series are set up to be findable in the winter, although some will undoubtedly be more winter friendly than others. Some stages are also more kid friendly than others; although as a family with young kids, we’ve tried to keep these as accessible as possible without losing some of the challenge. In order to determine the coordinates for the final cache in this series (Battle’s End), you will need to find the clues hidden in each of the 6 prior caches in the series. This is our first attempt at a multi-level puzzle cache, so we hope you enjoy the hunt!
Battle Scars #7 - Battle's End
The coordinates for the actual cache are N 52° 56.PQR W 112° 58.STU, where P through U are single digits that can be found using clues at the previous stages of the Battle Scars series of caches (Battle Scars #1 through Battle Scars #6).
