How? It's a sign. Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

landhammer: Have had to archive this because the bridge it was under has been replaced with a new one and I assume the cache container was still under it

Sad sad times ..hard to explain how I feel
Little bits of me being taken away

Congratulations to gameslaveian for First to Find, 26.08.13

During wartime Britain, roadsigns all over the countryside were removed to foil invasion plans. It's said that some of them were never put back.

There is more than one way, however, to use them to find out where you need to go.

STARTING POINT:

NORTH

Southwold

Spexhall -3

Wangford + 1/4
Lowestoft - 10

Beccles
Brampton - 3/4
Wrentham + 1 1/2

STAGE TWO:

EAST

00 Stoven

Saxmundham - 10
Halesworth + Stoven

Wrentham - Wrentham
Halesworth
Wangford + Stoven

These co-ordinates will take you to the cache, a custom-made container with only a log. Please bring a pen.

Close by here, the 53rd Heavy Artillery manned a Coastal Defence 9.2in Howitzer, capable of firing five miles out to sea. It was bombed once (they missed but the three craters are still visible) and in its entire WW2 career was only fired once, at which point the shockwave blew the chimney off the nearby farmhouse.
