Geocache Description:

Levittown Legacy #57: Crystal Lake

This series of caches is dedicated to the history of Willingboro, and especially, the legacy of the Levittown years.

Crystal Lake was created when Levitt and Sons harvested sand from this area to be used for the cement slabs for their new houses.  The equipment at that time could only dig down 12 feet, and so Crystal Lake is approximately 12 feet deep.  When Millcreek Park was in the planning stages, Bill Levitt donated Crystal Lake to Willingboro Township.  Today, it is stocked once a year by New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife.**  Be careful of muggles and rehide cache as found.  There is a NJ Scratch-Off Lottery ticket for the FTF!  ** Information from former recreation director, Harry McFarland.

Congratulations to cosmogirl for her second FTF today!
