After replacing the missing "A Different View" at the other end of the park, Badlands and I explored the wonderful expansion of Ping Tom Park.
On our last visit the underpass was still gated off and there were no paths on the other side. The cache name comes from the planning name for this section of the park, it's in Ping Tom Phase 2. In this new section there are more paths, a decorative bridge and a shed housing Urban Kayaks where you can rent a kayak to paddle in the Chicago River.
We walked along the new paths enjoying the prairie flowers and the birds flitting amongst them.
