Here at the twin bridges, where Route 11 passes over, the river is still fairly shallow, the bottom being mostly bedrock covered by a thin layer of river mud. During the wintertime it mostly freezes and when the ice breaks up in the spring the sound of it crashing downstream is incredible... and what a site to see! Be sure to gaze out off the bridges as you search for this cache and hopefully you'll get a sense of the beauty that flows with the water as the Great Chazy makes it way through the countryside.
This cache is a lock-in-lock magnetic container... thus it's obviously stuck to the metal of the bridge! Good parking is available nearby at the VFW and the river draws bird watchers all the time which makes a good cover to the Boarder Patrol vehicles often driving around the area. Be mindful of high speed drivers if you do choose to park on the shoulder. Enjoy the spot and good luck!
