Over the years we have stopped here countless times for a cuppa and to stretch our legs. Seldom have we found this area deserted, especially in the mornings when overnight campers are slowly emerging from whatever sleeping arrangements they have, including tents in mid-winter. Brrr!
There is an interesting walk which takes you across the river then a loop through the old tunnel and return through the bush, or vice versa.
This cache is placed on that walk and there is also another on the loop walk as well as a short multi at the car park.
This site is historically significant and there are information panels at the rest area.
