Please take your time to watch each footstep as the terrain is very rugged and uneven.
Do not let the terrain put you off, with a pair of suitable shoes this can be a enjoyable hike for novice hill walkers, do remember rock surfaces are very slippery in wet conditions, so proceed with caution on wet days!
At GZ, you will have a wonderfull 360 degree panorama of the Kenmare Esturary. A breathtaking view on a fine summers day!
Can you find the small hobbit hole this geocache lives in? Blanketed by bog peat & wild pink heather.
A hike from trailhead 1 to GZ should take half an hour to an hour for an experienced hiker, allow an hour and a half to two hours to reach GZ for beginner & novice hill walkers! Note: descent time is additional.
A hike from trailhead 2 will add an extra 30 minutes of road walking to the above mountain hike times. Note: Descent time is additional!
Please keep geodogs on the leash & if hiking from trailhead 2 please stay on the road untill the landscape has opened up to the rugged mountain terrain.
