Geocache Description:


This is a great place for a cache there was one here a couple of years ago but was removed for personal reasons.

George Carey started a ferry here in 1892 & ran it till he died in the flu epidemic of 1919. The ferry was started up again in 1921 & ran by various people till 1954. More info can be found if you will search Sandpoint Ferry’s.

Located down Old Thama Ferry Road or by boat where the Pend Oreille River meets the road.
