I've been coming to this area since 1985 (when the price of a sea-front plot was R1,500) and felt that the lighthouse deserved a cache of it's own.
There doesn't seem to be much information about the lighthouse, but this is what I could find (info from http://www.cometcorp.org):
Active Lighthouse, but date unknown (station established in 1920s).
Focal plane 11 m (36 ft); white flash every 3 s. 8 m (26 ft) square cylindrical brick tower with lantern. Tower painted white, lantern dome green.
Visitors: Site open, tower closed.
The cache is a small and camouflaged. It contains a log book, two pencils and a R5 coin as reward for the FTF.
