It's My Birthaversary! Event Cache

September marks my tenth anniversary as a geocacher, and it's also my birthday (although I won't reveal which one).     I can't think of a group of people I'd rather spend the day with than my geocaching friends!  

Believe it or not, Birthaversary is a recognized word, at least by the online Urban Dictionary: "A misspelled concatenation of "birthday" and "anniversary", primarily used by illiterate slobs."

Drop by the picnic shelter at Berthusen Park in Lynden on Friday, September 13 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. to celebrate and catch up with your geocaching friends after a great summer!  Bring your own dinner if you like -- there are plenty of options for fast food, pizza, grocery, and deli nearby in Lynden.  I'll furnish some cold drinks and birthaversary cake for everyone to enjoy!  No gifts, please -- just spending time with geofriends is the perfect way to spend the day.

Whether you're celebrating your one-month anniversary as a geocacher, or you've been playing this silly game for as many years as I have, you're welcome to attend.  Kids are welcome -- there's playground equipment nearby and woods to explore.  Berthusen is dog-friendly for leashed dogs, and Chase the Wonder Pup will be there with me to greet everyone!
