This cache is located on the bit of land between Lake Florida and the Lake Florida Slough. There is a parking area very close to the cache, just obey what the sign says, I don't think this will be a problem unless you like to go caching very early in the morning. This cache should give you a good view of the Lake Florida Slough. The Lake Florida Slough is almost as big as Lake Florida at 654 acres, Lake Florida is 674 acres. The maximum depth of Lake Florida is 40 feet and the water clarity is about 10 feet making it one of the clearest lakes in Minnesota, at one point it was thought to be the cleanest lake in Minnesota. Lake Florida is a glacial lake and is in the area where the glaciers first stopped, that's why Kandiyohi county is labeled "Where the Lakes Begin." This cache contains a log only so BYOP.
