As time marches on, people are reaching higher and higher for new caching goals. Like me, many completed the Jasmer challenge (Original version) with a deep sense of satisfaction. It's a tough challenge and that satisfaction lasted a while. Then, I started to get itchy; I needed a new challenge. The Jasmer was so fun, I'll do it again!

The forums have been abuzz with like minded people. As of this challenge's publication date, I think only Virginia and Colorado have a published double. (If anyone else is aware of another, let me know.) Amazingly 11 people have already logged finds on these two! Keep an eye on the bookmark list on the right. I'm sure more doubles will be added as they get published. Update: Nine years later there are Double Jasmer challenges in every state and a few have triple. I completed my triple in May 2018. If I ever make it to Stockholm, I'll have my quad.

It's time for Utahns who accomplish the Double Jasmer challenge to have a way to recognize it. Here it is!

Since newer cachers may not have heard of the Jasmer challenge prior to seeing this cache, let me take a moment to explain. The idea is to find one cache placed in each month since geocaching began in May 2000. The cacher who placed the first such challenge is called jasmerb. It was literally his challenge to the rest of us. He encouraged others to place a similar challenge in their own states so it spread and the name stuck. The challenge of the Double Jasmer is to find at least 2 caches placed in each month since caching began.

Project-GC provides a Double Jasmer challenge checker linked to this page. Use the search function on Geocaching to find caches to fill your holes

There are several good bookmark lists out there to help you find the old ones. Check out First 100 Caches and Oldest State Geocaches.

Location Note: The daycare inside the community center recently erected a fence around their play area preventing access to the cache via a straight shot down the side of the building. The best access and parking are now at the Additional Waypoint. You can also park in the community center's lot and walk behind the building.

I hope everyone enjoys the Jasmer as much as I did. Have fun!
