Geocache Description:

Trick or Treat is back... we're creeping out from under that stone we've been hiding under..

Saturday 26th October at Beecraigs, from 4pm.

Dare you brave the curse of the Beecraigs night cache?
Will the abominable snowman make an appearance?

The 'Trick or Treat' event is back.... and this time we're off to Beecraigs Country Park, Bathgate.

We have a history with night cache events here, we've had 2 previous events cancelled due to snow, so third time lucky... Or are we tempting fate??????

We've been give access to the Sutherland Building, across from the main visitors centre from 4pm to 9pm, so we have an indoor area for socialising and facilities available.

The 'Trick or Treat' spooky walk is making a return, with new scares and new treats. Once its getting dark we will send groups off from the event in 5min intervals.

Don't worry, there will be some amusements and the usual refreshments available while you wait your turn.

Some new day caches will go out, and hopefully a night cache or two, as well as the spooky walk.

As always you're doing this at your own risk, so remember its going to be dark, cold and muddy/slippery. You're on uneven ground and a road will need to be crossed.

So wrap up warm, wear appropriate boots/wellies and bring a torch.

Costumes are encouraged (and you may even get a treat for making an effort!) but not mandatory. We will pick the best costume at approx 6pm.

More announcements to follow so please add this to your watchlist or log a note/will attend to make sure you get the updates.

Thanks to the Rangers at Beecraigs and West Lothian Council for supporting this event and geocaching throughout the county.

Mega Scotland 2014

UPDATE...

Checked the route today and its MUDDY in places. The forecast is for more rain early this week so decent boots or wellies are a MUST.

You'll be on and off the paths, so made sure you've got your torch with you too. Oh, and wrap up warm!

"The Sisters of the Holy Spirit of Distillation" will be setting the brave groups round the spooky trail, you can book your departure time on the day in the Sutherland Hall (early times will be given to the younger cachers).

Current Itinerary
4pm - Sutherland Hall will be open for cake, coffee and chat
6pm - Best fancy dress (adult and child) will be picked
6:15 ish - Spooky trail will be opened.
Hotdogs (and veggie hotdogs) and hot chocolate will be served.
8:30pm - Last orders in Sutherland Hall.
9pm - Close of Sutherland Hall
