7.15. Archive or unarchive a geocache
Archiving a geocache is meant to be a permanent action. Only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ can unarchive caches. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if the cache meets the current geocaching guidelines.

If a cache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance, it will not be unarchived.

Geokid is an avid reader as well as a keen cacher so we have decided to create a series of book/literature related caches. This is the first in the series and as it is located so close to Montague Road we thought “Romeo and Juliet” would be a fitting theme. For those who aren’t familiar with the classic Shakespearean tragedy, “Romeo and Juliet” centres around 2 star-crossed lovers heart who come from feuding families – the Montagues (Romeo) and the Capulets (Juliet).

Here is 10 year old geokid’s synopsis of the story (**SPOILER ALERT** don’t read if you ever plan to read the story yourself and don’t want to find out the ending!)

The Montagues and the Capulets were fighting all the time. Romeo and his friend invaded a party and then Romeo saw Juliet and Juliet saw Romeo and they fell in love heart.  But their parents wouldn’t allow them to be together so Romeo and Juliet kept on meeting secretly.  Their parents found out and Juliet was sent away.  She drank a potion that made her fall asleep but look like she was dead so she would be sent back to where Romeo was.  But when Romeo saw Juliet, he thought she was really dead so he drank some poison to kill himself because he didn’t want to live without her.  Juliet woke up a few minutes later and saw that Romeo was dead so she got the dagger from his belt and killed herself. broken heart

The cache contains an assortment of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and ‘love’ themed swaps.  If you’re able to maintain the swap theme, that would be great.  If not, that’s fine too.  We’ll swing by every now and then and add some appropriate items.

This cache has been placed near the beginning (or end?) of a walking trail that snakes through Montague Farm past a couple of peaceful duck ponds as well as a fairly tidy little playground.  If you have time, bring the geokids and/or geomutt and enjoy a walk along the trail.  There are a few more caches in the area you can pick up along the way. smiley
