Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a 7 part series of caches placed at the base of Mt Melville.
Mt Melville is 152 metres high and is contained by a native bush reserve with walk trails and a sealed road to the top. A distinctive observation tower , known by the locals as the Spark plug, is situated at the peak and offers panoramic views as far as the Stirling range to the north. Each cache is an easy to find pvc tube along a loop trail. Look for the tell tale pile of sticks next to each cache. Part of the trail is over low sloping rocks so good shoes are recommended. And remember when crossing the rocks that wet rocks can be slippery rocks.
This cache series is all about enjoying the bush setting right in the middle of the city. The best place to begin is at the park on the corner of Lion St and Serpentine Rd. From here go to the coordinates given for the "Melville walk - final" cache. This will bring you to a gate and you will see a track leading off from here. On the lid of each cache is written a number and a letter. Take note of these as you will need this information to find the 7th and final cache.
