Geocache Description:

After living near this place for over 30 years, I can hardly believe I never heard about it until recently.  If I had to pick one spot to visit on a warm summer day this would definitely be it.

Slide Rock - as the place is known to locals - is just that: an amazing natural ‘rock slide’ that permits anyone young at heart the opportunity to slide on just about anything (inner tube, boogie board, reusable shopping bag, just your swimsuit) down a gentle ~100 foot slope into a shallow pool below. Above the slide is a large, deep pool with places to jump in at various heights above the surface. Smaller pools can be found upstream from the slide, and the area below the slide is remarkably beautiful. Fed by the warm surface water of nearby Triangle Lake, Slide Rock is an ideal place to cool off on a warm summer day. Video clips and more info can be found at http://www.eugeneoutdoors.com/slide-rock-triangle-lake/. Slide Rock parking and restrooms are here: N 44° 09.563 W 123° 34.381. Take a short walk alongside the highway, then walk down some steps and you’ll be there.

You are looking for a small lock-n-lock container. But if you come here on a warm summer day for just the cache you are missing out on the best this place has to offer! At the time I was planning this cache, my premium membership was somehow mysteriously deactivated so I didn’t know about the nearby Let’s Go Fishing geocache and I selected a spot too close to this one. This has been remedied: you’ll need to search a little way below the slide to make the find (some light bouldering required). The terrain may make getting a good signal challenging.

My Garmin 305 Forerunner watch has no ‘averaging’ capability when recording a location, so I took a few readings and manually averaged the results. I’d appreciate feedback from the first few finders if the posted coordinates are significantly off.
