Logically Speaking Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

ChemInstr: This little cache had a pretty good run but was shoved out of the way by the new community center being built adjacent to Logan Park. Thanks to all who solved and sought over the past 5 years [:)]

Geocache Description:

Through geocaching, we have puzzles thrown our way.  My favorite type is a logic puzzle so I have created one for folks visiting Acworth to enjoy!  Solve the puzzle to determine the coordinates for the little geocache.

Suzie Geocacher likes to hide caches!  She has hidden five different sizes of caches (nano, micro, small, regular, unknown) and each is hidden in a different hiding spot in Acworth (light post, fence, tree, log, and rock).  Suzie hid her five caches in different months of the year.  Each cache was also hidden on a different weekday.  From the information provided, determine the weekday Suzie hid each cache in each location as well as the month (March, June, August, September, November) of the hide.  Then follow the directions to decipher the coordinates.

  1. The cache Suzie hid on Wednesday isn’t the one she hid in November.  The regular cache is neither the one Suzie hid in June nor the one she hid in November.  The nano cache was hidden on either Thursday or Friday in a month with 4 letters.
  2. The geocache Suzie hid on Thursday (which was not in September) isn’t the unknown size.  The cache hidden under a rock was hidden on neither Thursday nor Friday.  The cache hidden in the light post was not hidden on Friday.  Tuesday was the day Suzie used the light post.
  3. The small-sized cache (which was hidden later in the week than at least two other caches) is neither the one hidden in March (which wasn’t in a tree) nor the one hidden by a fence.  Suzie’s small cache (which was not hidden in August) isn’t hidden in a tree.
  4. The cache that Suzie hid in August isn’t the one in the light post nor the one under a log.  The cache hidden in November (which was not the one under a rock) is neither the micro cache nor the one she hid on Thursday.  The cache type hidden in March begins with the same letter as the day and size of the hide.
  5. Suzie didn’t hide the cache in a tree on Monday or Wednesday.  The cache Suzie hid in November (which was not on Monday) is neither the one in a tree nor the one under a log. The cache hidden by a fence was on a “dog day.”
  6. Suzie did not hide the small cache on Wednesday.  She didn’t hide the regular cache on Thursday.  The cache hidden by the fence (which was not hidden on Monday) is neither the micro cache nor the unknown size cache.

Now that you have solved the mystery of Suzie and her geocache hides, you are ready to determine the coordinates of this hide!  The cache can be found at N 34 04.PQR W 084 40.XYZ where:

P = # letters in Friday hide location minus two

Q = # letters in the size of Tuesday’s hide

R = # letters in the month of the hide in the tree

X = # letters in the location of Wednesday’s hide

Y = # letters in the month of the hide made on Wednesday

Z = # letters in June’s hide location

I hope you enjoy solving the puzzle and making the find cool
