WELCOME to OUR GEO CLEAN-UP Effort
during this years annual
SETX Gang Octoberfest 2013 !
~Date: October 12th, 2013
~Time: 9:00 AM until Lunchtime at the Pavillion
(Our pile of clean-up effort will be used in the group picture
that is usually taken around lunchtime)
~Place: *** The coords above are to the Pavillion on the dead end road, JUST OUTSIDE of Sam Houston Jones State Park near Lake Charles,La. ***
As usual, these clean-ups are the Geocachers way of giving back to the host location or area.
~If you help pick up one bag or ten bags of trash & garbage it leaves the area looking better than before!
You do not have to stay for the entire event & can drop off your pick up effort at the pavillion at any time during the morning or at lunchtime.
*I know some cachers will not enter the park (Sam Houston Jones State Park) and will just be caching in the surrounding areas, PLEASE get some trash/garbage picked up out there too!
~~TRASH BAGS WILL BE PROVIDED!!!~~
You may pick them up at the pavillion around 9:00 AM or after when you sign in.
Individual cachers will need to provide an awesome CAN-DO Attitude (like when you are looking for a Hitman cache and you know ONLY HE CAN SEE IT!), bug repellant, gloves, trash grabbers, & any other gathering supplies a cacher feels they need.
While you are out on the trails of the park and the surrounding areas please remember that caching is much more enjoyable without alot of trash or garbage getting in the way (UNLESS the trash or garbage is the cover for the cache in hiding....).
