The 1896 one room cottage, now enlarged was C. C. VAN Arsdol home. Van Arsdol, a civil engineer, played a major role in local rail and highway networks. He designed the irrigation system from Asotin creek to the Clarkston Heights. Clarkston was then known as JAWBONE FLATS!
